May 2001 Placement Meeting 2

[Shusu is doing paperwork in the midst of covered pots of chilled soups, banana leaves with burnt-sugar 'banana-cue' pieces, watercress sandwiches and small dishes of soft cheeses.]

Duo: Ne, Shusu... time sure flew, huh?

Shusu: It did! A lot of my website work has been falling behind. The whole site needs a major resurrection. In the meantime, I'm balancing our numbers from last meeting; some of them were very wrong.

Makoto: Gomen, that was my fault. I was never very good at math!

Shusu: [grins] Me neither, dear. Anyway, let's get to work. Pocket Bishoujo updated at long last. Now Pocket Bishounen is the one falling behind... Tokio-san's RL is catching up with her.

Mariamaia: So who are the new guys?

Shusu: Kaoru of Rurouni Kenshin, Jen of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Naomi Armitage of Armitage III, The Power from Card Captor Sakura, Amidala from Phantom Menace, Aya Mikage from Ayashi no Ceres, Bulma from DBZ, Mai from Fatal Fury, Tsugaru from Tenchi Muyo, Julian from Armitage, Sanosuke of Rurouni Kenshin, Nuriko from FY, Soshi from... um... gee, I don't know where he's from.

Hilde: Shusu! You said you wouldn't catch strays anymore!

Shusu: Well... he was pretty. Hee hee.

Achika: Amidala would be a great addition to my Gym. I will also take Jen. Even though I am fairly sure that is not her name.

Shusu: Yes, I was hearing another name under the subtitles as well. I think her name was really a homophone of the Chinese word for 'dragon'. But then we'll never know.

Mariamaia: None for me, I guess.

Shusu: I'd love to add Jen or Amidala to yours, but they're not that strong in my book. Hilde and Duo need the most help with Bishoujo right now. Okay, first off... Kagato will go to Sapphire and Tsugaru will take his place. I like him a lot more, even if I wasn't sure if he was a man or a woman for a while. Armitage will go to Gold. I'm split between Kaoru and Bulma for the other spot in Gold.

Hilde: I can take both of them.

Shusu: Okay. Ayashi, The Power and Mai can go to Jet.

Duo: A pink girl?!

Shusu: Hey. She was pretty cool for a pink girl.

Duo: Whatever.

Shusu: Julian will also go to Jet, and I'll dump Jeice and Zarbon into Sapphire. Sanosuke will go to Forest, and that leaves Soshi and Nuriko to go to Sapphire.

Mariamaia: Where does that leave us?

Achika: 62 Bishoujo and 71 Bishounen. The Power is the 130th catch. Ayashi is the 60th Bishoujo. And we have also received the Master's Badge, but it has not yet been uploaded and verified.

Quatre: 133 catches in all. And now I have way too many boys. 9 Bishoujo and 15 Bishounen.

Hilde: I'll be even with 11 and 11.

Achika: 11 Bishoujo and 6 Bishounen.

Duo: 9 Bishoujo and 13 Bishounen.

Makoto: 11 Bishoujo and 13 Bishounen.

Mariamaia: The same. 11 and 13.

Shusu: It looks like everyone's about right except for Quatre needing to lose Bishounen, Achika needing more Bishounen, and Duo no longer padded for adding any Warlords in the future. Otherwise, 24 catches in one gym seems to be a good number.

Mariamaia: We won't have room for any more.

Shusu: I don't think I'll be catching any more soon. If so, it'll probably be through Pocket Bishoujo. And then we'll invite Mimi over and open up Cherryblossom Gym to ease up on Quatre a little more. As for the wishlist, I might try to catch Iria today; if I do, you're taking her, Mariamaia. I am also eagerly awaiting more Digimon characters. Particularly the bishounen. And Arukenimon. I wish there were some Bubblegum Crisis gals too. Okay! That's all for now.
